John Leitner DDS

Founder

Grand Haven born and raised, followed by a roundabout way back. Time at MSU, a bicycle trip that ended in Montana with me working in a dental lab and a D.D.S. from University of Michigan in 1982, practicing in Pennsylvania and then coming back home to take over my father’s dental practice in 1990.

My priority is always patient relationships. I have an equal commitment to learning the latest techniques and investing in helpful technology, at no added cost to patient care. My office was the first to embrace enhanced microscopic dentistry, one of the first to offer complete digital records, and laser treatments. The world is constantly changing and advancing, and I believe continuing education combined with flexibility is important in offering excellent care for my patients.  When I’m not caring for patients you will find me swimming, biking and enjoying time with my family.

Colin Pellegrom DDS, MHS

Associate DDS

Aside from higher education, I have lived and worked in Grand Haven my entire life. I am a Michigan State graduate (BS – Biochemistry and Biotechnology), a Grand Valley State graduate (MHS – Biomedical Science), and an Indiana University graduate (DDS – Doctor of Dental Surgery). I returned home from Indianapolis after dental school to reunite with family, the water, and the community that I love so much.

Evidence-based, patient-centered care is what I provide, but patient relationships are what I build. Everyone seeks a place where they are treated with respect and where you feel at home, and that is what this office provides. I am so proud of our diverse staff that serve our patients from a hometown perspective as well as a global perspective! Talk to me about water skiing or alpine skiing, travel plans or sharing travel pictures, and being outside in general.

Grand Haven born and raised, pit stop in New Mexico and back, 30 years in dentistry, on Dr. Leitner’s team since 2009 – and loving it, My RDA is from Ferris State and Washtenaw CC. I spend as much time as possible with my 3 daughters, husband, Juno the dog, our VW van, camping and creating whatever type of art suits my fancy.

Patient and Office Coordinator

Grand Haven born and raised. I spent 15 years in Grand Rapids, and have been home again since 2010; over 8 years with Dr. Leitner and a phlebotomist with 11 years at in-patient labs – Spectrum Health/Butterworth campus, Helen Devos Children’s Hospital and North Ottawa Community Hospital. My two grown sons are my pride and joy and outside is where I love to be – often with camera in hand for my photography business.

Francisca (Angel)

Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH

Grand Haven transplant by way of Indonesia, 25 years experience, 1998 University of Trisakti Dental Degree, Lansing CC 2005 RDH and Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. I joined Dr. Leitner in 2017 specifically because the team shares a patient-centered priority and believes strongly in comprehensive preventative care. I truly enjoy my work and living in Grand Haven with my family.

Hannah

Dental Assistant

Hannah has been with Dr. Leitner’s office and part of the team since the age of 15. She came to work with us as a student through Careerline Tech Center and graduated from Grand Haven Senior High in 2016. Hannah went on to graduate from Ferris State University in 2021. She is a certified dental assistant and will be taking her national boards to be a Registered Dental Hygienist. Hannah is a triple threat because she brings many talents to all areas of our dental practice. Her passion for patient care shines through and we are lucky to have her. Hannah loves to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends.

Ning

Dental Assistant

Ning is a Grand Haven transplant by way of Thailand. She started exploring the world right after she graduated from Chiangmai University, Thailand in 2000. Ning is a lifelong learner and enjoys working in patient care and helping others. Impressed by the technology used in dentistry she decided to become a certified dental assistant. She is very thankful to be a part of our team and has learned from the best here at Dr. Leitner’s office. When she isn’t working, she spends most of her time outdoors with family and friends and hiking with her fur baby Milton. Ning also loves to cook authentic Thai food.
